About Us

BenchMark Wealth Management was founded in 2010 with a simple belief: people deserve more than transaction-based advice. They deserve a relationship built on trust, someone who takes the time to understand their story and genuinely cares about their future. We're financial advisors, but more than that, we're people who believe in doing right by others. Our faith is the cornerstone of everything we do, shaping how we treat clients, make decisions, and approach this work every day.

What We Stand For

What We Stand For

Trust, integrity, and passion guide every conversation we have and every recommendation we make. These aren't just words on a website. They're the values we hold ourselves accountable to, the standards we refuse to compromise on, and the reason families continue working with us year after year. When you work with us, you're working with people who believe this is more than a job. It's a calling to serve others well.

Our Community

Our Community

Our office is located in Canonsburg, in the heart of western Pennsylvania. The majority of our clients are right here in the greater Pittsburgh area, families and individuals, and we've built real relationships with them over the years. We also work with clients across the country who share our values and appreciate our approach. Whether you're down the road or across state lines, we're equipped to serve you well.

How We Work

How We Work

We listen first. Your life, your concerns, and your goals matter more than any financial product or strategy. You're not a portfolio to manage; you're a person with a story, and we take the time to understand it. Our approach is collaborative, educational, and built for the long term. We want you to feel confident in the decisions we make together, and we're here to walk alongside you as life changes.

We're a Team of Problem Solvers

Robert O'Korn, CRPC, CEPA

Managing Partner & Financial Advisor

(724) 743-7900

This work matters to me because it's about people, not just numbers. When someone sits down across from me, they're often facing big decisions about their future, and I take that responsibility seriously. My job is to listen well, ask the right questions, and help create a plan that actually fits their life. It's your life goals that drive all the decisions and plans we implement together.

I graduated from Robert Morris University with a degree in Finance and earned my Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation from the College for Financial Planning. I'm currently working toward my CFP certification and serve as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) for small business owners looking to transition out of their companies. Those credentials provided the foundation, but it's the years of working side-by-side with real families through real challenges that shape how I serve clients today.

My wife Caron and I are blessed with two wonderful children. Josh attends Robert Morris University as a student athlete, running Cross Country and track. Mary Alice attends Grove City College and is pursuing her passion to become a teacher. As a family, we love attending college and sporting events together, taking skiing and hiking trips, and spending quality time with the people who matter most to us. Those priorities remind me every day why this work is so important.

James Eisnor, AIF®

Managing Partner & Financial Advisor

(724) 743-7900

What makes James Eisnor stand out among the majority of financial advisors is that he is in the business to form life-long relationships with his clients. James explains “many of my clients are my friends”. He has a high-relational, high-service approach to his business. He likes to work with clients in three specific areas; wealth accumulation, wealth distribution, and legacy planning.

James graduated from Grove City College with a degree in Business Communications. He joined BenchMark Wealth Management (Atlas at the time) as National Sales Director in 2003. In this capacity, he was able to help advisors grow their business and improve customer service models. He quickly moved to Managing Partner and since then, has gravitated away from operations to focus solely on his private practice. He currently spends his time dealing with families and small business owners, catering to their specific financial planning and wealth management needs. James’ assistants are Liz Arnal and Jake Danner.

James is very active outside of his practice. He was elected President of the Financial Planning Association of Pittsburgh in 2007 and served as the Chairman of the Board in 2008-2009, where he was responsible for the educational needs of its diverse membership base of over four hundred members. James is also in the middle of a five year term as Treasurer of the Christian Camping Association. He has made local television appearances on WPXI Channel 11 evening news and was a guest speaker on Jerry Bowyer’s program, “Focus on the Issues”. He has been featured in Pittsburgh Business Times and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

James loves to spend time with his family. He and his wife, Sharon, have been blessed with three children; Laurel, Brooke, and Timothy.  As a family, they enjoy the beach in the summer and the mountains in the winter. They have been members of the Bible Chapel in McMurray PA since 1998. His personal interests away from the office include, hunting, golfing and serving at his church.

Joe Salamone

Managing Partner & Financial Advisor

(724) 743-7900

Joe Salamone, a native of Upper St. Clair PA is a graduate from Westminster College with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. He began his career as a Spanish teacher at Mon Valley Catholic High School. Along with teaching Joe enjoyed being the head coach of Mon Valley’s track team and an assistant coach of the football team. After teaching for few years, the business world began to look inviting to him.

Joe decided to step into the financial industry by working for Liberty Mutual Insurance, specializing in workman’s compensation claims. After spending two years in up-state New York, the company transferred him to Cincinnati, Ohio where his efforts helped to reduce the company’s expenses by approximately fifty percent. As a reward for his accomplishments he was offered a promotion that included a transfer to Toledo.  As Joe would say, “No one moves to Toledo!” Fortunately, at about that time Joe started to date his future wife, Noreen. This made leaving the Ohio job and moving to Pittsburgh an easy decision for him. Joe was given a great opportunity by Lincoln Financial Advisors to become a Financial Planner and for the next twenty-six years he worked on building his financial planning and asset management practice. On March 1, 2000, Joe became the first licensed advisor to join BenchMark Financial Network, now BenchMark Wealth Management. Joe currently holds a series 7 and 63 registrations through LPL Financial, as well as being licensed in life, accident and health insurance.

In 1985, Joe faced a battle with cancer that caused him to rethink his career and family goals. He decided to specialize in the asset management portion of his practice. Joe was fortunate to survive cancer and continued to transition his practice to a fee based asset management style, an approach that provides clients with a vastly greater variety of investment options and the flexibility to change course if necessary. Joe continues to use his background as an educator in his efforts to teach his clients as much as possible about their investment portfolios. His integrity and commitment to his family and his clients are demonstrated by these words, “You can’t always be right but you can always do right.”

In his free time, Joe enjoys going to dinner and the theater with his wife of forty-plus years.  Joe and Noreen also enjoy season tickets to University of Pittsburgh basketball and football games, traveling when they can and spending as much time as possible with their children and grandchildren. Once a year, their extended family, all thirty-six of them, get together for a week-long vacation; either at the beach or camping.

Their four children, Kristen, Erin, Justin and Carlyn have all graduated college and are now independent young adults, productively contributing to society and starting families of their own. Five grandchildren are now part of the family, with hopes of several more. Justin is in the process of joining his father in his practice and Joe remains hopeful that one or two more will consider joining him in the financial industry.

Joe’s wide spectrum of experiences has helped him to grow not only in life, but also in his business.  He loves his job and never wants to retire.

Kathy Barone

Executive Administrator

I've always believed that the details matter, especially when it comes to people's financial lives. My job is supporting clients through careful preparation, organization, and follow-through on every interaction they have with our team. When someone walks into a meeting knowing everything is ready and handled, that's when trust is built. That's what I work toward every day.

I graduated from Robert Morris University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and have been working with Bob O'Korn since 2015. I handle meeting preparation, record keeping, and managing account transactions to support timely and accurate processing. The work requires consistency and attention to detail, but it's the relationships with clients that make it meaningful. I'm grateful to be part of a team where everyone genuinely cares about the people we serve.

My husband Mark and I love traveling around the country, exploring antique shops, and attending car cruises together. But nothing compares to the time we spend with our two daughters and our two adorable grandsons, whom we absolutely love to spoil. Family is everything to us, and those priorities remind me why this work matters. Helping people protect what they've built means they get to focus on the moments and people that matter most, just like we do.

He and his wife Kerri live in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with their, son Dawson James – named in honor of James Eisnor himself! They enjoy spending time with family and serving in their community, particularly through Tov Church of Bridgeville, where they lead a biweekly Bible study. Outside of work, Jake enjoys playing hockey alongside his dad, cheering on the Steelers, and growing in his faith through church involvement and fellowship.
